ASP (Active Server Pages) is a standard developed by Microsoft in 1996 to develop interactive Web applications, ie whose content is dynamic. So, a web page ASP ( file identifiable by the extension .asp ) will have content that may be different according to certain parameters ( information stored in a database, user preferences... ) while a "classic" web page ( with an extension .htm or .html ) continuously display the same information.
